The global
success of the Elanra therapeutic ionisers has encouraged a
number of companies to manufacture ionisers that do not live up
to expectations. Although these machines have been designed to
look substantial, on examination the electronics and operation,
in our opinion, is well below-par, and in some cases dangerous.
It is a fact
that some of these "so-called" ionisers only produce harmful
Ozone or utilise outdated technology. (See
EPA report)
To be efficient and effective, an ioniser must be manufactured
to the highest standards.
We have endeavoured to show the
internal circuitry of a number of the ionisers currently on the
global market.
|
|
Under controlled conditions, we scientifically measured the
ion output of the ionisers shown below. |
The Actual
negative ion outputs were measured in ions per cubic centimetre.

-
Summary:
The claimed output of 5,000,000 ions per
Cubic Centimetre at 1 metre is false &
deceptive. In Geomed's own test report,
dated 30th October 2002, using their own
Ionometer IM5005 Geomed state that the
average negative ion density at 2 metres
was 42,652 ions per
Cubic Metre.
If this is correct, they are actually
stating that their ioniser is producing
less than
HALF AN ION per Cubic
Centimetre at 2 Metres. This plainly
demonstrates that the Geomed Breeze Air
Energiser has absolutely no ability to
produce small biologically active ions,
as their ion mobility factor is hardly
desrenable.
-
Circuitry:
Appears to be a basic voltage multiplier
as the circuit board was embedded in a
plastic can filled with gel. Mains Powered.
-
Filter System:
A filter
medium is used to clean the air from
large particles. The Fan used appeared
to be of reasonable quality.
-
Ion
Discharge system:
Gold Plated Needles - NON REPLACEABLE
-
Other Comments:
We cannot
see how this Geomed Ioniser warrants its
$1200 US Dollar price tag.
